The following is a list of awards offered by private companies and organizations that may be of interest to current University of Winnipeg students. We update this webpage monthly, so students can search for scholarship opportunities year-round.

List of awards offered by private companies and organizations
Applications open year-round-awards of up to $40,000 for veterans with a minimum of six years of service and up to $80,000 for veterans with at least 12 years of service.
Deadlines vary depending on award-awards and scholarships to students.
Application deadline August, November, and February annually (on site year round)-Indspire is the largest supporter of Indigenous education outside the federal government. To date Indspire has awarded more than $54 million in scholarships and bursaries to 16,000 First Nation, Inuit and Métis recipients nationwide. Indspire disburses funds to Indigenous youth across Canada, covering all disciplines in funding categories in post-secondary education.

Application due February-$10,000 award and internship for students who are planning a career in finance and identify as a member of a visible minority, female, Indigenous, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a veteran, or a person with a disability.
Application due February-For students who volunteer or are otherwise connected with the United Way.
Application due March-$2,500 award for Marketing Students.
Application due March-Grants offered by Global Affairs Canada and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China to pursue to study at leading institutions in China.
Application due March-Needs Based Scholarships.
Application due in April-Several scholarships of $1000 to $2000 to support full-time students with hearing loss.
Application due February-paid internships for Indigenous and Black students to work in a Kidney Research lab.
Italian Canadian Foundation of Manitoba
Application due March-$3,000 scholarship for a Manitoban Female Student.
Application due April-Scholarships for Canadian Students.
Application due April-Several scholarships of up to $5,000 for students with Spina bifida/Hydrocephalus.
Application due April-$2,000 for a graduate student whose research involves minority groups or human rights protections.
Application due May-$3,000 scholarship for Manitoban Indigenous Students.
Application due in May-for students who were severely injured or who have had a parent (or legal guardian) or sibling killed or severely injured as a result of an impaired driving crash.
Application due May-Nora's Nursery is offering a $1000 scholarship for parents in post-secondary education. A 500-word essay or 2-minute video presentation on a given topic is required.
Application due May-Scholarships of up to $5,000 for Canadian Students in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting and similar programs.
