July 14 - RecPlex closed to support wildfire evacuees
The Axworthy Health and RecPlex continues to be used as an emergency shelter for people who have been evacuated due to wildfires. The situation is fluid, and there is currently no end date for this closure. Further updates will be shared on this page as they become available.
During this time, the RecPlex parkade is only available to monthly parkers, accessible to them through the southeast stairwell (main entrance).
Thank you for your patience during this time. As a university community, we’re proud to stand alongside the Province of Manitoba, the Winnipeg Police Service, the City of Winnipeg, and other partners in supporting those affected by the wildfires. Together, we’re working to ensure the safety and well-being of those impacted. We appreciate your understanding as we respond to this situation.
